What Wipes a HDD Completely?

E-mail Print PDF

Bluestsoft says neither erasing files nor formating completely erases data from an HDD-- which is why it suggests the use of its DiskDeleter EX EXE client-server solution.

diskdeleterDiskDeleter runs on Windows from either shared network drive or remote operation tool, and reboots the system while deleting everything on disk. As an executable file, it requires no CD or USB.

Bluestsoft says it erases 1 disk at 12 sec/GB, and x2 disks at 8 sec/GB-- the more disks it has to delete, the faster it works.

As it completes the data deletion processors, administrators get a real-time progress overview (via delete progress information and delete reports) on DiskDeleter EX Server residing either on the client's server or BluestSoft Data Center.

The software supports x12 different delete methods-- including DOD5220.22-M (recommended by the US Department of Defence).

DiskDeleter EX EXE supports most Windows versions, while EX Server supports Windows Server 2008 and 2003.
