Yamaha Unified Communications announces the CS-700 Video Soundbar is certified for use with Zoom Rooms, making it easier to connect and control while using the conferencing software.
According to the company, the all-in-one video conferencing system passed an extensive testing process for the audio system, camera and USB system to ensure it seamlessly integrates with the software. Designed for huddle rooms, the CS-700 is a wall-mounted unit featuring an adaptive beamforming microphone array for captured conversation. Audio comes through four Yamaha speaker elements, while a wide-angle HD camera allows far-end participants to see everyone clearly.
Users can quickly connect with any UC platform, including Zoom, via single USB cable, eliminating the frustrations of operating disparate video, audio and collaboration components. Through the certification Zoom software automatically detects the CS-700, enabling mute sync and optimising audio in the Zoom cloud. An integrated network management system allows IT staff to deploy and manage each unit from one location.
Along with the certification, Yamaha has released a firmware update. Version 1.4 allows all existing devices to upgrade to the new version with audio and video quality enhancements, as well as usability improvements. Also included are Bluetooth connectivity, mute sync and in-app optimisations for more comfortable and intuitive huddle room collaboration.
The CS-700 firmware compatible with Zoom Rooms is available now.
