Trend Micro launches SafeSync for Business, aiming to provide cloud-based digital file storage for smaller businesses lacking their own servers.
SafeSync allows users to access and share their data while handling saving, updating and backups across multiple PCs and mobile devices. In addition it also keeps up to date backup copies on the cloud accessible through any web-enabled device.
The system handles internal or external company collaboration through shared folders-- allowing employees to share files with either co-workers or clients anywhere.
The company says 88% of small businesses use smartphones for business use, while 43% say at least one or more of their employees access their IT systems through tablet devices. Its survey also reports that 42% of business with 3 - 10 PCs use no file server.
SafeSync is Windows and Mac compatible, and supports any sort of web enabled device (as well as iOS and Android devices). It provides administrators with centralised management, and can recover deleted files (with unlimited versioning).
