HP Intros E344c Curved 34-inch Ultra-Wide Monitor

E-mail Print PDF

HP curved monitorHP announces a curved ultra-wide display aimed at business and professional customers-- the E344c, a 34-inch number offering a 21:9 aspect ratio, 3440 x 1440 resolution, 300 nits brightness and a 1000:1 contrast ratio.

Designed as a monitor for day-to-day work use, the E344c lacks media features such as speakers or a headphone output. Instead it provides an SVA panel with 16ms GtG response time, 60Hz refresh rate and 178-degree viewing angles. Connectivity comes through x1 DisplayPort 1.2, x1 HDMI 2.0 and x1 USB-C inputs, together with a dual-port USB 3.0 hub fed by an upstream USB-B port. A pop-up IR-enabled webcam provides authentication via Windows Hello.

Like other similar office monitors, the E344c sits on a stand allowing for height and tilt adjustments. It also allows the control of two PCs using a single keyboard and mouse without need for a KVM switch. Such functionality is compatible with Windows, macOS, Linux and Android, and DeviceBridge technology even allows users to copy and paste documents from one connected device to another. Hotkeys on the bezel allow one to manage how the monitor displays the desktops.

The E344c monitor ships on October 2019.
