Avaya integrates its Virtualisation Provisioning Service (VPS) with VMware vCenter Server, providing a complete view of ethernet infrastructure and virtual machines within and between data centers.
In its initial release, Avaya says VPS should provide insight into the entire VM lifecycle-- from activation to mobility to deletion-- updating Avaya networking devices in reaction to the lifecycle's changes.
The company says VPS increases IT efficiency, reduces time-to-service and ensures consistent data center application performance as VMs move between servers.
It also provides a real-time view of end-to-end virutalised data centers by stitching together VMware vCenter Server's infrastructure topology and Avaya Configuarion and Orcestration Manager's virtualised network topology.
Avaya also announces that a number of its data solutions are VMware Ready-- including Avaya Identity Engines and SSL VPN gateway-- with more to follow in the future.
