The Kramer VS-84UT is an 8 x 4 4K@60Hz (4:2:0) presentation system matrix switcher able to switch video, embed audio and output the signal to both HDMI and HDBaseT 2.0 outputs.
The HDBaseT input and output ports offer USB extension, as well as selectable PoE. A K-config room controller operates over ethernet (LAN), with control ports including x1 bidirectional RS-485, x4 RS232, x4 IR, x4 GPI/O and x8 relays to control variety of AV devices. The VS-84UT also includes a KNET connector interface to enable access to the K-Config controller from compatible control keypads powered by the KNET connectors.
Signal extension reaches up to 100m at 4K@60Hz, or up to 130m at 1080p @60Hz 36bpp and up to 180m at 1080p @60Hz 24bpp. Kramer reKlocking and Equalisation technology rebuilds the signal, allowing for longer travel distances. Audio extraction, embedding and control option also promise to be flexible, with x4 balanced stereo or x8 microphone audio inputs (selectable), x4 unbalanced stereo inputs, x2 line-out balanced stereo audio outputs and x1 audio amplified output.
The company says the VS84UT is ideal for classrooms, lecture halls, auditoriums and other education and corporate applications, with easy installation in a 2U rack space via included rack ears.
