ATEN announces the addition of the CM1284 to the Multi-View KVM product line-- a 4-port USB 4K HDMI Multi-View KVMP switch ideal for environments demanding constant, seamless switching and control between different computers from multiple systems.
Aimed at control rooms, surveillance/command centres and programming and post-production environments, the switch improves the efficiency of real-time monitoring and control in both pro AV and IT applications. It allows customers to manage data more efficiently by allowing the simultaneous selection, switching and display of multiple video sources, with independent keyboard and mouse control.
The switch supports HDMI resolutions up to 40960 x 2160 @30Hz, and uses patented boundless switching technology to allow users to switch KVM focus among multiple sources on multiple windows by simply moving the mouse cursor. Video DynaSync automatically detects horizontal and vertical offset values of each computer's display settings, and synchronises them with the monitor in use in order to eliminate boot-up display problems. EDID Expert selects optimum EDID settings for smooth power up, high-quality display and the best video resolution across different sources.
Multi-view console display modes include Quad View, Picture in Picture (PiP), Picture by Picture (PbP) and Picture on Picture (PoP), and users can daisychain up to 3 additional CM1284 units from a single console or cascade up to 2 levels to control 16 computers/video sources. The switch is HDCP 1.4 compliant, and includes power on detection, auto scan and multilingual keyboard mapping (with English, French, Japanese and German keyboards).
