Cisco announces new security management capabilities for its Borderless Networks portfolio with the Identity Services Engine (ISE), a security and access-control software. 

CiscoAddressing user demands to work from anywhere on any device, ISE provides administrators with a central console to define policies on devices (both organisation-owned and personal), networkwide access security and encryption annd user, device, application and location logistics relating to business rules. 

It also provides endpoint connectivity management by integrating with Cisco's other new announcement, Prime for Enterprise, as well as with Cisco TelePresence Systems. 

Prime for Enterprise is a management console integrating telepresence troubleshooting sessions, network applications and wired and wireless networks. As a workflow-based application, it manages the interactions and dependencies between applications and the physical infrastructures supporting them.

Both products work across Catalyst switch range, as well as ISR and ASR enterprise routers.
