Infinigate acmeoBased in Hanover, acmeo started out as a system house before becoming a distributor in 2007. It employs over 90 people and claims to serve over 1600 system houses, with vendor partners including SolarWinds, MSP, Kaspersky and RapidFire Tools, among others. Since 2017 it also owns Swiss networking distributor net-point AG.

Infinigate does not provide financial details of the acquisition, but says acmeo will remain a separate subsidiary within the InfiniGate Group. Joint founders Henning Meyer Meyer and Isabelle von Künßberg will continue running the company as shareholders.

"With Infinigate we have found the best possible partner to attract further system houses in Europe who will become more successful thanks to our proven expertise in the managed service and cloud environment. Our existing partners benefit from an expanded MSSP portfolio and even broader support from Infinigate's security specialists," Meyer says. "We are very pleased to be part of the Infinigate family, thanks to the support of our M&A advisor GP Bullhound, and to jointly become the leading Cyber Security VAD in Europe."
