Bechtle signs a partnership agreement with Amazon Web Services (AWS), allowing customers throught Europe to access all AWS cloud services through the Bechtle Cloud platform.
The Bechtle Tier 3+ datacentre in Frankfurt hosts the cloud platform, serving as an interface to the AWS global cloud infrastructure. The reseller provides transparent management and billing of cloud services used, while direct connection comes via DE-CIX, the largest internet exchange point in the world, to ensure the performance for workloads and applications running in the AWS cloud.
Customers get additional options for efficient internal and external IT resource operations, and certified Bechtle experts advice companies on the AWS environment from design right through implementation to ensure seamless integration with existing IT landscapes. Cloud services are billed via Bechtle as standard.
Bechtle has been perhaps slow to form its Amazon partnership-- Computacentre already has a team of 100 AWS specialists across the UK and Germany, while both Atea and SCC are registered APN partners. In turn, the online bookseller turned cloud giant opened a first German datacentre in 2014 to allay European data privacy concerns.
