Cloud security and mobile app distribution software specialist MobileIron launches MobileIron Authenticator-- a mobile app turning the phone into a second factor of authentication, further boosting organisation security.
According to the company, MobileIron Authenticator differs from existing MFA (multi-factor authentication) platforms through a one-touch setup process for end users, as well as the use of smartphones instead of hardware tokens. It also integrates MFA into a comprehensive security workflow complete with adaptive access and single sign-on for mobile apps.
Users can login within seconds using push notificaations on MobileIron-secured smartphones, while dynamic, context-based authentication flows enable smarter authentication flows by uniting device, app, network and user trust.
“MFA is often a silo in a company’s security workflow, a separate solution that requires custom integration and creates frustration for end users,” the company adds. “MobileIron Authenticator integrates MFA into the broader security workflow and simplifies adoption by end users.”
MobileIron Authenticator is available now for Android devices, with an iOS version to follow in the future.
