UIT launches its SV4060j at CeBIT 2011, an enterprise class JBOD with single or hot swappable dual controllers housing up to 60 SAS or SATA 3.5" HDDs in 4U form factor.
The hot swap ability covers power supplies, cooling modules and HDDs, all designed for replacing without the need for system power down. A specially-designed cooling system complete with large speed-controlled fans keeps HDDs at an optimum temperature.
The company says 60 HDDs in a 4U enclosure equates to 30 TV per U-- packing a punch in terms of form factor and capacity.
The SV4060j is compatibile with UIT's storage product and component range, with a range covering clients' demands on data centre space and energy needs, including IP-SAN, FC-SAN and NAS.
