Managed services provider Claranet acquires Union Solutions, a UK-based data storage and security reseller and Microsoft Azure partner. Financial details of the deal are not available.
Union Solutions has offices in Surrey and Kent, where it employs around 30 staff. It has an annual turnover of £10 million, and specialises in a range of infrastructure and managed service offerings, including infrastructure design, hosting, transition, and migration. It supports both large on-premise managed solutions and managed solutions on Microsoft Azure.
"Union has a depth of experience and capability in the design and implementation of mission-critical infrastructure, with emphasis on data storage and security," Claranet says. "It has developed strong, long-term customer relationships in the legal, financial services, and retail verticals which will further enhance our capabilities in these important sectors."
The Union Solutions buy comes just a year after Claranet acquired a minority investment worth £80m from Tikehau Capital. The reseller has been going through something of a buying spree lately, with the acquisition of 20 firms over the past 5 years. Its most recent purchase is Sec-1, the British security provider.
