NEC Display Solutions announces the InfinityBoard-- an all-in-one display solution aimed at BYOD, collaboration in interactive workspaces and huddle rooms available in 65- and 84-inch sizes.
Designed for videoconferencing, creative brainstorming, presentations, reviews and collaboration, the InfinityBoard is a modular platform based around UHD large-format touchscreens. Powering the touchscreens is what NEC calls InGlass, a touch technology promising seamless, paper-like performance using a passive precision pen.
The company says the technology allows users to be creative with finger and pen differentiation, allowing for intuitive touch, interactive writing and palm erasing. The large surface acts as an infinite canvas, and users can import and export content via included whiteboard application. Collaboration software provides support for wireless presentation, screen to device and screen to screen interaction, and a MultiPresenter function supports BYOD initiatives with wireless streaming from phones, tablets or notebooks.
On the conferencing side a Huddly camera offers a 120-degree viewing angle, the loudspeakers come from SEAS and customers can add the optional Sennheiser TeamConnect Wireless microphone. The InfinityBoard is also adjustable to accomodate users of different heights, and includes a modular OPS slot-in Windows 10 PC.
The InfinityBoard is initially available in DACH, UK and the Nordics from May 2017, before wider EMEA rollout on September 2017.
