Philips brand holder MMD announces the BDM4037UW-- a 40-inch Philips Brilliance 4K/UHD LCD display the company says is the "largest 4k curved monitor on the market."
The monitor packs a VA LCD panel with a W-LED backlight, and features 3840 x 2160 resolution. Viewing angles clock at 178-degrees, while maximum brightness reaches 300cd/m². MMD adds the monitor supports an ultra wide colour gamut with 85% NTSC gamut (as opposed to the usual 72%) and the hardware offers over 1 billion colours. Audio is included through two built-in 5W speakers, and a quad-port USB 3.0 hub adds connectivity.
Philips Multiview technology allows the monitor to display 4 simultaneous HD feeds, with various multi-screen modes such as PbP and PiP. Eye fatigue is taken care of through Flicker-Free technology, and the company insists the monitor is perfect for professionals working on "extremely detailed images for CAD solutions, using 3D graphics applications or working on huge spreadsheets."
The monitor is VESA mountable, and is available now.
