Techconnect Package for Microsoft Surface Hub

Techconnect Hub Pack

Many observers believe the collaboration market is poised to ride a new wave of business that Microsoft’s Surface Hub will bring.

The Surface Hub is a series of an upcoming interactive whiteboards developed and marketed by Microsoft.

The devices are part of the Microsoft Surface family and although they were unveiled on January 21, 2015 at the Windows 10 Event (and available for businesses to order since July 1, 2015), shipping for the device was delayed from September 1, 2015, to Q1 of 2016.

Surface Hub is a wall- or roller stand-mounted device with a 84 inches (210 cm) 120 Hz 4K or 55 inches (140 cm) 1080p multi-touch and multi-pen touchscreen powered by Windows 10 operating system. Both devices are targeted for businesses to use for collaboration and videoconferencing.

And the pro AV market is hoping the marketing muscle of Microsoft can make inroads to enterprise business the way Sharepoint and Skype have created opportunities.

All of those Hubs will need installing and Vision makes it easy for installers to offer a connectivity faceplate with the Surface Hub.

Surface Hub has an internal PC but it also has hard-to-get-to input connectivity for an external PC. The Techconnect Hub Pack is a simple starting point. It contains a set of modules and 10m cables which provide access to HDMI, VGA, Minijack, and USB input ports on the Hub.

This Hub Pack will be on display at ISE 2016.
