HPE announces a set of end-to-end solutions aimed at SMBs-- the ProLiant Tower and Rack Gen9 servers, the pre-engineered and configured Flex Solutions and a Small Business Marketplace e-commerce platform.

HP Server“Small and midsize businesses have to embrace major enterprise technology trends but with a fraction of the resources and budget,” the company says. “Hewlett Packard Enterprise is launching new tools that will allow our SMB customers to easily and affordably adapt to the changing technology landscape without comprising quality, efficiency and flexibility.”

The two servers are part of the ProLiant 10 and 100 series, and carry Intel Xeon E5-2600v3 and E3-1200 v5 series hardware. The DL20 is a compact entry-level rack server designed for both onsite and remote service, while the ML30 is a standalone unit ideal for SMBs and home office requiring a wide range of storage expandability.

Meanwhile the Flex Solutions integrate server, storage, networking and services in two products-- My First Server (handles remote working) and Secure Encryption (protects data on any HDD, SSD or cache memory connected to the server).

The final HPE offering is a means to bring together SMB customers with partners. Dubbed the Small Business Marketplace, the e-commerce platform allows customers to easily compare pricing and availability before pairing up with partners. It will be first available in the US before rollout to other regions in 2016.
