Imation launches what it claims is one of its most secure "PC on a Stick" solutions yet-- the Ironkey Workspace W700, the first Microsoft-certified Windows to Go device from the company with FIPS 140-2 Level 3 certification.
FIPS 140-2 Level 3 certification is a security and reliability benchmark, being a requirement for civilian and military US federal agencies.
Meanwhile Windows to Go is an enterprise Windows 8.1 feature allowing users to access their employer's corporate image, OS, applications and data from any compatible PC and the Ironkey Workspace USB drive.
The drive is centrally manageable and offers remote wipe and AES 256-bit encryption features. An on-premises IronKey Enterprise Management Server provides admins with a central dashboard for policy control, reports, password resets and "silver bullet" features.
It comes in ruggedised military standard (MIL-STD-810F) metal casing.
The Ironkey Workspace W700 is available now in 32, 64 and 128GB capacity options.
