Running an embedded system, Reach’s Bee 8 Media Recorder is a 19” rack-mountable device with 1U height. With 3 DVI-I Inputs, it supports 2 videos and 1 VGA inputs and records these signals with audio synchronously.
The video inputs support standard definition and HD up to 1080p@60. The format of the recorded file is MP4 which makes it easy to playback and work with Windows Media Player, QuickTime, VLC and many other video players.
The Bee 8 has 1TB of internal storage and as well as a USB port on the front panel. Any user can quickly record files directly to the USB device or download recorded files to the USB device. Start/Pause/Stop recording buttons on the front panel let the user conveniently control recording.
Reach provides an iPad App, in which the user can monitor audio and video signals and control the operation of Bee 8 with an iPad. It is simple enough to be operated by any user with no technical background.
The Bee 8 supports a RTSP live streaming function, which as a standalone device, it can satisfy most small-scale live streaming requirements. The addition of Reach’s Media Center allows this Bee 8 to participate in large-scale live streaming and video file publishing applications.
