Iceland-based GreenQloud announces QStack, a hybrid cloud software stack enabling organisations to build private clouds able to shift heavy workloads to a "greener" public cloud.
The GreenQloud public cloud promises to be a more eco-friendly option, since it is renewable energy-powered. It also features easy-to-implement and easy-to-use software complete with customisable dashboard.
Meanwhile QStack offers a scalability solution-- customers can burst into the GreenQloud public cloud when periods of heavy activity, with innovations including automatic provisioning, enabling metered self-service compute power and object storage. It is Apache CloudStack-based with open source and (optional) commercial software such as KVM hypervisor, VMware and Scality object storage.
It also includes "unique" security features including team and project support, single sign-on authentication, and user controlled load balancers/firewalls.
