The Nycomm Group acquires video conferencing specialist and audio visual integrator, Videonations in an undisclosed deal.

Chairman Julian Niman’s sees this acquisition as a way to advance the company’s capability in providing unified communications to the Nimans network of resellers.

“We have been looking for some time for the right partner to help accelerate our future growth,” comments Niman. “Our market research predicts significant acceleration in video conferencing in the SMB market. In partnership with our resellers we are particularly effective in that space. It is our intention to capture the same share of the video market that we’ve had in the communication solutions market for the last 30 years.”

Established in 2001, Videonations is a specialist video conferencing, audio visual and VaaS (Video as a Service) integrator, with offices in London and Altrincham in UK. Boasting about its demonstration facilities, Videonations says it is completely vendor-agnostic and working with various video conferencing manufacturers including LifeSize, Polycom, Radvision and Cisco/Tandberg.

Niman adds: “We see video forming an increasingly important part of the communications landscape and felt the need to acquire a high calibre technology partner to support our resellers in the design, installation, maintenance and support of such technologies. Videonations is a perfect partner.”

The Nycomm Group employs more than 250 people across locations in Manchester and Leeds, UK. Niman says he is delighted to welcome Ian Carter and his Videonations team to the Nycomm family.
