Cisco unveils Cloud Connected Solution at Cisco Live 2012-- a product suite aimed at delivering cloud-enabled routing and WAN optimisation platforms, together with means to connect customers securely to cloud services.
The Cloud Connected Solution consists of Cloud Connectors (software embedded into the Integrated Services Router G2 platform), cloud-enabled platforms (the Cisco Cloud Services Router) and a selection of cloud services.
While the solution bundles a number of familiar Cisco products, it also has new offerings-- such as the Cisco Services Router (CSR) 1000v, a virtual router enabling enterprises to extend and control various network facts to clouds, and the ASR 1002-X router which delivers up to 36Gbps of performance.
Customers can also virtualised WAN optimisation through WAAS 5.0 with AppNav, available either as a hardware module for Cisco WAVE appliances or as CSR software.
